National Science Day Celebration.
Venue: Sundaram Central School and Junior college, Palghar

The students of Sundaram Central School & Junior College, Palghar celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm. It was celebrated to commemorate the anniversary of the discovery in physics that won India its first ever Nobel prizes in science.
On 28 Feb 1928, through his experiments, Sir C.V. Raman discovered the Raman Effect-------The Inelastic scattering of photon, discovered in liquids and for this he was honored with the Noble Prize in Physics in 1930.
The students enthusiasm was evident from the posters they displayed in school premises based on science themes, like:-
The course of celebration began with audio visual visuals, the aim was to inculcate scientific values among students. Some basic concepts of science were shown through these videos, right from class sixth to eleventh.

Further, the celebration was followed by an introductory speech on National science day, by the student of Class-XI. A small role play of Sir C. V. Raman was done by the student of Class-IX.
The core part of the celebration was the skit performed by the students of class eleventh and ninth together. The skit was to inculcate awareness among students regarding blind faiths and myths and to foster scientific temper among the students. The Skit also aimed to make student understand the Mistry of chemistry in science used to con or to fool innocent people to make money.
The students were also informed about the newly formed Science Club, 'Jayant Narlikar Sundaram Science club' and about the upcoming programmes and activities under the club.
The program ended by a short conclusion and word of appreciation by our CEO, Mr. Sanjay Agrawal Sir and Principal, Mr. Utpalkumar Chandra Sir. Thus, the celebration ended with fostering scientific temper among students.
