Earth Day Celebration

Sundaram Central School & Junior College, Palghar celebrated World Earth Day on Saturday, 22/04/2017. The celebration was well planned and organized to create awareness and care for nature. The Kitchen Garden Program was held by the students of Class-XII who participated enthusiastically.

The celebration started with a speech in the assembly by Vaishnavi Tiwari, the student of Class X-B. The speech highlighted the importance of Earth Day and the present situation of Earth. Each class adopted two plants and all students along with their respective class teacher had labelled and watered plants.

The saplings planted by Class-XII students were given a proper tag and their botanical name was also written. The celebration was a grand success as it had created awareness about the care for Earth among the students.

The values like Team Work, Co-ordination, Respect and Sensitivity for nature, etc. were inculcated in students through this program.
