Annual Sports Day

 The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Saturday 18^th November, 2017. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students on their 12^th Annual Sports Day at Sundaram Central School and Jr. College, Palghar. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the oath being administered by the Sports Captain, Sudhynesh Ambure. The Chief Guest, Mr. Kiran Kabadi, Police Inspector, Palghar,Trustees and Principal, took the salute of the impressive March Past  lead by the Sports Girls Captain, Riddhi Vaishya. Dumbbells, an energizing exercise drill set the tone for the rest of the event. The aerobic dance performed by the students added much enthusiasm to the students and audience. In the address to the gathering, the chief guest spoke appreciating the efforts made by the school for holding the importance of Sports. A message on the importance of sports was delivered by the Principal, Dr. Sunil Kumar Yadav. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of  each class competed house wise and category wise in events including sprints, sack races, obstacle races and three legged hopping, relay, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin throw, tug of war and many more. Fun time with a tug- of- war between the teachers and parents added to the enjoyment. The day ended with vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-Principal, Mr. Sushil Kumar Pandey.
